A writer once put it that “We are Easter people living in a Good Friday world”
But The Story of Easter is Alleluia.
Alleluia is a word like tears, music, smiles and hugs that transcends all language barriers.
Alleluia is our song of hope, a song of joy, a song that invites us to clap and dance and to
sing it again and again . Alleluia, Alleluia, Alleluia.
It is a song of freedom, freedom from fear, guilt, from punishment and most of all
freedom from the fear of death forever. It is a freedom that does not come cheap.
It costs the weight, the tears, the blood of Christ and the Cross.
“Freedom can be found, laden down
Under the weight of the Cross”
(Fr. Francis Murray)
