Members of the Killashee and Clondra communities recently gathered for a special ecumenical service and the launchof Killashee & Clondra Parish – A History of Faith.
The event brought together representatives from the Catholic Church and Church of Ireland, including Bishop Paul Connell, local clergy, parishioners, and members of the wider community, to celebrate the rich Christian heritage of the area.
The book traces the faith story of Killashee and Clondra through the generations, highlighting the people, places, and events that have shaped parish life. It also explores local religious sites, heritage, and the contribution of parishioners who have served the Church both locally and bey
ond.The evening was a fitting celebration of the shared history, faith, and community spirit that continue to unite people across the parish today. The launch also highlighted the importance of preserving local stories and ensuring that the faith and heritage of previous generations remain accessible for future generations.
