The Diocese of Ardagh & Clonmacnois invites all the faithful to keep Pope Leo XIV in their prayers as he prepares to undergo surgery in the coming days.
The Holy Father has announced that doctors discovered a small, localised nodule in his lung during recent medical examinations. Following medical advice, he will undergo an operation to have it removed. He has expressed his gratitude for the prayers and support of the faithful around the world.
We ask communities across the Diocese to remember Pope Leo in their personal prayers and at Mass, praying that the procedure will be successful and that he will experience a smooth and complete recovery.

Heavenly Father, we entrust Pope Leo XIV to Your loving care. Guide the hands of those caring for him, grant him strength and peace, and bless him with a successful operation and a full recovery.
