On Saturday, 13th June, couples from across the Diocese of Ardagh and Clonmacnois gathered in St. Mel’s Cathedral, Longford, for the annual Wedding Jubilee Mass, celebrated by Bishop Paul Connell.
The special celebration gave thanks for the many years of love, commitment, and faithfulness shared by couples marking significant wedding anniversaries. During the Mass, Bishop Paul offered a special blessing to the jubilarians, recognising the witness their marriages continue to give to their families, parishes, and the wider community.
Following the celebration, couples and their families gathered for refreshments, providing an opportunity to meet, share memories, and celebrate this joyful occasion together.
The Diocese extends its sincere congratulations to all those celebrating their wedding jubilees this year and thanks them for their enduring witness to the vocation of Christian marriage.
May God continue to bless them with good health, happiness, and many more years together.
