Trócaire Appeal

Trócaire Appeal

This  Pentecost weekend (May 31) with the blessings of the Irish Bishops Conference, we are asking you to return your Trócaire Lenten donation. I am sure you will all understand that, if it is difficult to manage COVID-19 in Ireland, it is even more difficult in countries where people do not have access to secure housing, healthcare or clean water.  Every year Trócaire asks for your help during Lent to fund lifesaving programmes around the world. As you know it has not been possible this year to return Trócaire
boxes in the usual ways. I am appealing to you now to return your Trócaire Lenten donation. Simply count or estimate what is in your box and donate in one of the following ways:
1. Donate online at www.trocaire.org
2. Phone1850 408 408 (ROI) or 0800 912 1200 (NI)
3. Post to Trócaire, Maynooth, Co. Kildare (ROI) or Trócaire, 50 King Street, Belfast (NI)
4. Check with your local parish for any arrangements that may have been made.
The contents of each and every Trócaire box, no matter how small, come together to make a significant difference. This virus knows no borders, but neither does our compassion.

As we mark the feast of Pentecost at this time of the year (May 31st); we celebrate the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. We thank you God for the generosity of the Irish people to Trócaire. We also give thanks for front line workers all over the world, including those in countries where Trócaire works, who are working against the odds to control the corona virus. We pray for all those who have been impacted by COVID-19 in Ireland and around the world
