VOCATIONS SUNDAY
On this Vocations Sunday we welcome with joy
the new shepherd of our flock Pope Leo XIV.
Under his leadership let us walk forward together in our
Church family, priests, religious and laity, listening to
one another and above all, listening to the voice
and promptings of the Holy Spirit.
The mission of the Church is the mission of all, and we
remind ourselves that God does not call the equipped,
but He does equip the called.
The first words of Pope Leo from the balcony in
St. Peter’s Square capture perfectly the essence
of this Vocations Sunday.
“God loves us, all of us, evil will not prevail. We are
all in the hands of God, without fear, united, hand
in hand with God
and among ourselves, we will go
forward. We are disciples of Christ, Christ goes before
us, and the world needs his light.” Pope Leo XIV
