The Annual Ecumenical Carol Service was held at Clonmacnois Monastic Site in the beautiful location of Temple Connor, Clonmacnois. A full attendance prayed and sang traditional carols with readings suitable for the occasion. An offering was made to the work of the Midlands Simon Community from those present. Rev. William Steacy (Cof I Athlone Union of Parishes) and Fr. Tom Cox (Adm. Clonmacnois Parish) led the service. Refreshments were enjoyed afterwards by all. Our thanks to the OPW for facilitating our prayer this year and for their immense work in safeguarding our ancient places of gathering and prayer.
